April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US is part of a select set of females who've been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix-Klineman is set to compete alongside April Ross Tokyo to win her third gold medal in the next few days. Ross hopes to win her Olympic debut gold, but she is also aiming to earn greater. Since she's 39 years old and has a long way to go, this could be her last chance. She's certain that the top prizes can be achieved. Ross said on NBC Boston: "If we try our best, and even if we just play well I believe we can be able to win gold." "I'm trying to also try some luck." Ross was born in California in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa along with her parents and younger sister. In Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of different sports. Along with playing indoor volleyball, she also ran track and basketball as a pre-collegiate athlete. But she clearly was an edge over the other players in this latter game. The college bio says that she played outside of the hitter middle blocker and setter during her volleyball career at high school. To honor her achievements, she received the Gatorade Award for National Player in 1999. In 2000, the Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her for volleyball. Ross and Klineman started their relationship in 2017 however, Ross had been a beach-scene celebrity for a long time prior to. It's true that she's been a winner of numerous major tournaments as well as one of her partners was a volleyball superstar. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until 2013. Alongside Kessy Ross, she was a major force in the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded a gold medal. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team that was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, took them out to win the gold. The fate of the matter was that Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. In high school and the several years prior to hitting the sand as a pro Ross played to the Trojans at USC while an collegiate. Ross's time in the Trojans was remarkable. In her first year at the school, 2000 saw her earn the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the award and become an All-American. Additionally, she was a key player in helping the Trojans to make it to their way to the Final Four. In her sophomore season she suffered a devastating personal loss, yet was able to be named an All-American. Through her last two years as a player, she led the Trojans to the summit of the mountain winning three consecutive championships at the national level. In 2003-2004, Ross was named the top female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in America according to The Honda Sports Award. Ross had been an international studies major at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the chance to watch Ross' daughter blossom into the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer while she was a sophomore in USC. But, she will always remember her deceased parent close and close. Margie has inspired her in her life and on the beaches.
